Kyungah “Kay” Suk is a mediator and founder of Forward Mediation. She brings a unique combination of mediation, adjudication, litigation and life experience to her practice. She has convened and resolved hundreds of mediations in the areas of commercial, employment, tort, education and public entities dispute. She was a Pro Tem Administrative Law Judge with the California Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH) where she presided over quasi-judicial hearings on issues ranging from revocation of occupational licenses to cases challenging local county agencies. She practiced complex civil litigation as a Deputy Attorney General with the California Attorney General’s Office for 12 years. Kay served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Republic of Macedonia from 2008-2009. In addition to her private practice, Kay is a part-time Attorney-Mediator with the California Department of Fair Employment & Housing where she facilitates highly charged employment and housing discrimination cases. She currently serves on the mediation panels of the United States District Court for Northern California and the Alameda County Superior Court. She is also a former Higginbotham Fellow with the American Arbitration Association. Kay is passionate about all things related to conflict resolution and welcomes inquiries about her practice.
